Designed by the famous architect Le Corbusier and with incomparable views over the Faraglioni of Capri, the Punta Tragara is today one of the most sought after across the world.  The views over the Faraglioni and the endless blue of the Gulf of Naples truly are stunning as is the design of the building which is bot strikingly contemporary but in total harmony with the surrounds of Capri.  Despite the crows that come to marvel at the views each day, the hotel remains a secluded respite.  It’s a far cry from the origins of the 1920s designed villa – during World War 2, the property acted as HQ for the US command hosting guests as renowned as Churchill and Eisenhower before being turned into a luxury hotel in 1968.

Dining at Punta Tragora is centred around the restaurant Le Monzu. Breakfast is a buffet served in the main dining room or on the terrace and at lunchtime the a la carte menu is available. For dinner, this menu becomes a Michelin-starred alternative with a quartet of set menus.

From the Piazzetta Capri, its around a 15 minute stroll through the bougainvillea clad fragrant pedestrianised streets of Capri.
