  • The hallmarks of La Sultana Marrakech are luxury and a huge sense of history.  The property is spread across 5 separate riads – each of which is decorated in a different style signifying various historic periods and altogether makes up a 28 room boutique hotel that is stuffed full of character.

The property is perfectly located in the golden triangle of Marrakech between the Royal Palace and the Saadian Tombs with which it shares a wall. It’s set back from the main thoroughfare which makes it blissfully quiet inside. The 5 Riads are made up of:

Riad Scheherazade – pale pink and covered with intricate stucco work and fine Moroccan tiling typical of the Saadian era

Riad Almohad – set around a large pool and echoing the royal granary that once stood here when the Almohad dynasty was on the throne

Riad Saadia – clad in carved cedar and jewel encrusted

Riad Sabaa – a visions of pure white stucco and marble around a large whirlpool bath

Across all 5, the hospitality staff all wear traditional outfits which only add to the local colour and spice of the property. They offer a discreet presence whilst always being on hand to assist guests when required.

La Sultana’s rooftop terrace is the largest in the medina. It’s an elegant space with green cushions and traditional Moroccan tiling inspired by the hanging gardens of Babylon with panoramic views of Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains. The acclaimed bar and restaurant (The Odette Bar & La Table du Souk} on the roof terrace serve signature cocktails and mouth-watering local dishes throughout the day. The roof terrace hosts daily cooking classes. La Sultana Marrakech celebrates Morocco’s culinary heritage and outstanding local produce sourcing ingredients from a small network of local producers and La Sultana’s very own organic gardens and the local market.

La Sultana Marrakech’s award-winning spa is a secret hideaway with sensuously pleasing interiors including crimson marble walls, wrought iron lanterns and a glistening turquoise pool. Offering traditional Moroccan treatments including the famous Royal Hammam using black soap made from pressed olives and decadent massages using locally sourced essential oils, all treatments in the spa are individually tailored to promote health and relaxation. Facilities include 3 Hammams, jacuzzi, sauna, beauly centre, hairdresser, 7 massage rooms.

For pure relaxation, guests are able to cool off in the outdoor heated swimming pool or the rooftop plunge pool – both are the perfect spot to relax after a day exploring the souks of the Medina.
