Located at right at the upper end of Assisi and far from the crowds that flock to this beautiful spot each day, in a former 13th Century nunnery the Santa Caterina Monastery, is the Nun Assisi Relais and Spa Hotel.  The original roman marks and historic elements combine harmoniously with the minimalist style of the hotel and the contemporary vision of the restoration.

The Nun Spa Museum unveils the true historical splendour of the building in the modern day spa where the synergy of strength, lightness and balance is expressed by the limestone pillars that act as the foundations for the floors above and that date from the 1st Century AD. The remains of the archaeological site can be seen here from this flagged floor which was part of an ancient sacred area connected to the cult of water. The circuit of 4 rooms offers differing temperatures and humidity where the deep detoxifying effect works as a complement to enhance the wellness treatments created by the therapists along with a multi-massage pool with jacuzzi section. Children under 16 are not permitted in the spa.

Eat Out Osteria Gourmet is the hotel restaurant where ancient regional flavours are showcased with dishes that enhance the riches of Umbria as the result of a careful search for fresh local ingredients. The restaurant is located in the garden of the property and the outdoor terrace which offers a breathtaking view over Assisi. The atmosphere here is truly unique and reflects the allure of one of the world’s most beautiful cities whilst offering an authentic cuisine rich in flavour, colour and aroma.
