With magnificent views out towards the Maddalena archipelago and in lush gardens directly leading into the sea, the Grand Smeraldo Beach Hotel is around 200m from the resort centre of Baja Sardinia.  It is set in a sheltered cove in a secluded position and offers a private beach area that is normally in use mid May to mid September.

The 160 rooms here are impeccably appointed with all the conveniences demanded by modern travellers and offer a comfortable base from which to enjoy the best of the area. All have balconies and view either over the surrounding hillside, a partial sea view or a full front sea view.

The Smeraldo restaurant is the main dining venue within the property and is situated alongside one of the scenic swimming pools but divided into smaller interlinked rooms with a cosy décor. Gentlemen are required to wear long trousers for dinner. The bar and lounge area is a lovely spot to enjoy a drink either pre- or post-dinner after a day in the Sardinian sunshine.

The 4 swimming pools here along with the private beach area are normally available between mid May and mid September. There is also a beach bar that is normally open between June and September for drinks whilst on the beach. 2 of the pools feature whirlpool areas. The swimming terraces are spread over multiple levels from the highest panoramic point of the grounds down to the beach and surrounded by sunbeds and umbrellas to offer a space perfect for sun, sea, and relaxation.

The hotel also offers mountain bikes to guests and there are 3 tennis courts (payable locally) within a short walk for the more active guest.
