The ultra-contemporary 8Piu Hotel has a name as unconventional as its Italian design that is in stark contrast to the graceful baroque architecture that pervades in the city of Lecce.  

The hotel is just 1km from the city centre and some of the main tourist attractions such as Porta Napoli and the Obelisc are within a 20 minute walk.  The entry to the hotel is flanked by eye-catching modern sculptural figurines and the lobby is spacious and overwhelmingly crisp and white.

The 84 rooms and suites are all sleek – with more of the ultra-contemporary furnishings complemented with pops of bright colours such as magenta or lime and filled with tech such as touch lighting panels. The chromo-therapy showers allows guests to self-select the lighting which then illuminates both the room and the shower enclosure – this is thought to be good for the mood!

When it comes to food and drink, the day starts with a continental breakfast in the modern and super-sleek Lounge Bar’s breakfast area, including homemade pastries, the famous 'pasticciotto' custard tarts and classic cold cuts and cheese. For dinner, Negroamaro Restaurant offers local, seasonal ingredients given a modern, gourmet twist. Elsewhere, there's an in-house shop for just some of the region’s many gastronomic treats.

The gym area is well equipped with all of the apparatus required for a work out.
