The Hotel Viu Milan appears in contrast to its neighbouring buildings as a towering edifice of green courtesy of the living wall vertical garden on each end of the property.  Combined with an award winning chef in the restaurant, an interior of impeccable design and the chicest of atmospheres it attracts the movers and shakers of Milanese society.

The interiors are both surprising yet soothing as a result of the contrasts between the parquet floors and light coloured fabrics and furniture by Molteni. Many of the bathrooms feature sliding walls of various woods creating a tapestry pattern of natural tones – especially when lit by the natural light that pours in through each window. The bedrooms themselves are all done out in shades of natural beige, chocolate brown and slate grey to give a modernist retro aesthetic.

Morelli (named after the resident chef Giancarlo Morelli) is the more upmarket and gourmet of the restaurants here offering traditional Milanese cuisine using carefully selected ingredients. For a more intimate feeling and to see the chef at work, there is also an 18 seat communal table for a unique culinary experience. The Bulk Mixology food bar is more relaxed space for lunch and dinner or simply sitting at the bar with a signature cocktail from the resident mixologist.

Up on the roof, the VIU Terrace is home to not only breakfast each morning but to the VIU Pool with its panoramic 360 degree views over Milan which is the first rooftop hotel pool in the city. Its also the perfect spot to enjoy a sundowner with an infinity deck above part of the pool – the views are simply sublime. Non-residents also have access to the bar and terrace during the evening hours. There is also a small fitness are with Technogym equipment, sauna, steam room and sensory showers that the property markets as a spa centre.
