Set on either side of the main road that runs through Moltrasio (but joined by an underground tunnel), the 1922 Art Nouveau gem that is the Grand Imperiale Hotel and Spa offers an atmosphere of complete elegance, a spectacular setting and comforts that are nothing but restorative.  

The preserved Art Nouveau building features elements including white marble floors, ceiling art, and stone-walled balconies that combine with modern conveniences to give the overall atmosphere that pervades throughout the property. The hotel is a 20 minute drive to Como with it’s stylish boutiques, lively restaurants and bars.  Alternatively, public ferries dock around 50m from the hotel making it incredibly accessible for exploration.

Standard rooms are located in one of the wings of the land-side building and feature classic furnishings with a white and grey colour palette and faux-leather headboards. Sweeping lake views come with the upgraded rooms that are in the renovated lakefront villa building.

The Imperialino Restaurant offers delicious gourmet cuisine with an empghasis on local specialities with wonderful lake views from the large floor to ceiling windows. Ulivo is the less formal restaurant and offers traditional Italian dishes and also has a large terrace overlooking the lake that is a great choice for al-fresco dining. Bar Regina is a pleasant Art Nouveau bar that dates back to the 1920s.

On the lake-side part of the property, there is a stylish outdoor swimming pool with dramatic lake views with the La Vela bar that serves light bites and refreshing drinks. The spa centre has a small indoor pool with hydromassage, fitness centre and Turkish hammam. The grounds of the hotel also include a tennis court, driving range and putting green. Cycle and even boat hire can be arranged with reception.
