Up in the mountains of Sud Tirol in northern Italy, the family run Alpin Hotel Hubertus is an uber-chic stylish mountain getaway that offers every guest the ultimate in luxury. Described as being between heaven and earth in an incredibly picturesque location within the Dolomites and a place of joy and inspiration, the property allows guests to become one with the surrounding nature.
The 64 rooms and 10 suites here all have superb mountain views. Each is furnished with sleek lined wooden furniture and has a private balcony. Higher category rooms offer the bonus of a private sauna or jacuzzi. All guests have the following services included:
Hubertus culinary ¾ pension – breakfast buffet, afternoon snacks and 5-6 course gourmet dinner
Culinary themed festivals including Italian evenings, Tyrolean delicacy or gala dinners
Use of the Hubertus waterworld, wellness oases, Heaven and Hell sky spa, sky pool, saunas and fitness room
Year round weekly activity programme
Holidaypass for local public transport
Hiking map or ski trail map depending on seasonality
The hotel’s Sky Pool is a cantilevered structure that stands 12 metres high and projects 25m out from the building. It is an infinity pool that blurs the boundaries between water, surrounding landscape and endless skies and has a glass bottomed section that only enhances the feeling of defying gravity. The Sky Spa is known as Heaven and Hell and turns wellness on its head – literally. The spectacular free-floating steel platform is also cantilevered out from the structure of the building. Enjoy the views over the fascinating rock formations whilst relaxing in the whirlpools and chillout areas on the upper level – heaven. Alternatively, descend into hell where there are two nude saunas, a nude whirlpool and an ice room. The Alpenreych Spa offers a full selection of massage and full body spa treatments. The Alpenreych and Hubertus Parks between them contain no less than five outdoor pools, log cabin sauna, panoramic sauna and dolomite cave steam bath which allows any guest to totally relax and be immersed in the soothing silence of the surrounding mountains. For the more active there is a well equipped outdoor fitness studio as well as an indoor fitness/gymnastics room. The hotel also runs an exercise and relaxation programme through the week including activities such as water aerobics, circuit training, pre-ski-ing stretching, yoga, pilates and more.
One hotel – many places to eat and drink. The restaurant area is made up of 8 rooms that each have superb and unique valley views. The fireplace room is filled with comfortable armchairs and offers a place to enjoy doing nothing and just being at one with the surroundings. The H-Lounge bar is a place to linger with after dinner drinks or fine wines from the cellar. The terrace areas are a perfect place to enjoy the sunset with pre-dinner drinks or just enjoy the views from during the day with a coffee. Every Tyrolean house has what is known as a Stuben – they tell the history of the farm and the buildings. The Farmers Room has bleached wooden walls that are quintessentially a mountain hut – it’s a delightful place to enjoy an afternoon snack.
Winter or summer, the Alpin Hotel Hubertus truly is a unique place in which to relax and enjoy the beautiful mountains that surround it.
