Although most of the luxury hotels on Malta are within striking distance of Valletta, the impressive new Lure Hotel lives up to it’s name to tempt guests away from the crowds to the picturesque village of Mellieha.  The hotel is no typically traditional village hotel though – think sleek lines, Art Deco elegance and modern furnishings and fixtures.

Rooms and suites are all furnished with elegance meets modern. Smaller rooms are around 35 square metres, with plenty of space for oversized four poster beds. Suites grow to twice this – or more and some offer the added bonus of private hot tubs on the expansive terraces. Views are either over the village of Mellieha or the surrounding countryside. Some even have distant views of the shimmering Mediterranean.

The timeless indoor pool area also features a steam room and spa. There is also a rooftop infinity style swimming pool and there is also a bar and restaurant on site. The Lure Hotel is around 2km from Mellieha Bay beach. The vibe is made even more relaxing as a result of the hotel’s adult only policy – guests under 16 are not permitted.
