    BEACHES

    Nearest beaches - The open side of Gümüşlük beach is within a 2km. walk of the property, alternatively a very short drive will bring you to the lagoon side of the bay with its excellent snorkelling. The sandy beaches on the south side of the Peninsula are all within a 25 minute drive.


    SHOPS

    There is a village shop just minutes from the property stocked with everyday items including fresh bread, fresh eggs and ice creams; once weekly there is a fruit and vegetable market. 

    The nearest large supermarkets are in Turgutreis (15 minutes’ drive) or Koyunbaba (8 minutes’ drive) both have weekly fruit and vegetable markest. There are many restaurants on Gümüşlük beach.


    NEAREST AIRPORT

    Bodrum/Milas Airport is 1 hour by car; Dalaman 3 hrs. 15 mins.


    NOTES

    The steps to the gallery are quite steep and not suitable for small children although we can gate this area. 

    Car hire is recommended but not essential and there is a daily beach pick up/drop off service from the villas.

     

  • Luxury villas in Gümüşlük and villas close to Gümüşlük beach are not very easy to find.

    We feature the charming Bergama Houses and we are now delighted to offer Bergama’s twin – Clementine Houses – exactly the same as the Bergama Houses but slightly further from the village centre, reached by a narrow road and surrounded by stunning countryside.

    Gümüşlük is situated on the west side of the Bodrum Peninsula just 30 minutes from Bodrum town. Its’ situation, on the ancient site of Myndos has ensured that the beach front area has not been spoiled by any large scale development and it has retained its’ fishing village charm and being on the west coast of the Peninsula it’s the best place for sun sets!

    Divers will tell you that Gümüşlük is a great place for snorkelling; in the calm waters of the lagoon side of the bay all sorts of sunken ruins can be found and there is a causeway – sometimes above water sometimes below – to Rabbit Island where almost tame rabbits run around.

    At the end of a country lane this attractive development offers a peaceful and quiet location with superb views and is not far from the popular Gümüşlük beach with its’ huge choice of restaurants. Three single storey stone built houses – Akasya, Badem and Cham – are set around a large swimming pool in a very large private mature garden which is surrounded by beautiful open countryside. Each of the villas offers spacious and comfortable accommodation with a huge shaded wrap around terrace overlooking the pool and equipped with dining furniture and reclining sun loungers.

    Indoors, wooden beams, brick vaulted ceilings and a Spanish style arched window combine with the polished stone floors to give a country feel to the villa.

    Over the years that we have been using the Bergama Houses our guests have been delighted with the staff – nothing is too much trouble, “everything is possible” should be their motto – and the Clementine Houses will benefit from the same excellent service levels.  Rashid is always happy to pick up some shopping, get tickets for the classical music festival held annually in Gümüşlük (July & August) or organise a catered “meal at home” for anything from 6 to 18 people.

    In the high season these villas are perfect for family groups but in early and late season when the weather is a little cooler we can highly recommend them to couples who may enjoy some of the walking opportunities in the area. There is a daily pick up/drop off beach service for those people who prefer not to hire a car.

Hallway to master bedroom with king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower/wc. Bedroom with twin beds and further bedroom with double bed sharing a bathroom with shower/wc. All bedrooms are air conditioned.
