    BEACHES

    Steps lead down from the property to the sea front. These steps are not suitable for the very young, elderly or infirm. The Mahal Beach Club is adjacent to the private bathing platforms.

    500m/10-minute Mahal water-taxi to Kalkan harbour. Mahal water-taxi service to harbour 09:00 – 19:00. 1.5km/20-minute walk to Kalkan village or 10-minute drive. The closest mini market is situated approximately a 10 minute walk from the property.

    NOTES

    A mid week maid service is provided when towels and bed linen will be changed. Ozal and his wife Pinar are the caretakers for the villa. This property is not suited to very young or those with limited mobility due to a steep hillside location. 

    Please note that in Turkey the entire coastline is open to the public. However, access in this case can only come from the sea and is therefore most unlikely. 

    The Mahal water-taxi service to the harbour runs from 09:00 - 18:00 and is payable locally.

     

  • Villa Ayse in Kisla is one of the area’s finest properties and lies directly on the sea front.

    Of course the position guarantees magnificent sea views and as befitting such a property there is a huge private pool taking full advantage of the view and if that was not enough the villa also offers private sea access from bathing platforms at sea level.

    Villa Ayse and the nearby Villa Aurelia are very imposing properties – two of three – in this great location on the “front row” in Kalkan. The outdoor terraces and pool take full advantage of the sea view. However, the icing on the cake has to be the private sea access; steps lead down from the garden, across a track and then further steps cut into the cliff side and shaded by olive trees lead down to sunbathing platforms set into the rocks; at sea level a decked platform is furnished with sun beds, sun shades and scatter cushions and has steps into the sea. Just along the coast line is the splendid Mahal Beach Club.

    Villa Ayse is Mediterranean living at its best. The amply furnished shady terrace with its centrepiece of a huge date palm, is the perfect place for summer living with cushion filled rattan seating and a dining table. It’s just steps to the mosaic tiled infinity pool with cascading overflow, decked surround with sunbeds and a few steps descend from the pool to an attractive lawn which is dotted with sun beds. More steps lead down from the pool terrace to the lower ground level; these pass the utility and caretaker’s room and onto another lawn replete with elegant garden furniture in which to relax and, you guessed it – enjoy those fabulous views!

    There are breath-taking views from virtually everywhere in and out of the house; you’ll find yourself gazing out across the deep blue sea, and as the sun sets, the show doesn’t stop and your gaze will be drawn in the other direction as the lights from Kalkan harbour are magical to look at. The interior of the house is very comfortable with rich dark wood and features two magnificent master bedrooms both with access to the vast upper terrace. A small secluded shady courtyard provides a peaceful retreat to retire to with a good book.

    The villa is a located directly next the Mahal Beach Club with its renowned waterside restaurant. Villa Ayse is the twin to Villa Aurelia which is in close proximity and also offers private bathing platforms (shared with a 3rd middle villa), it is perfect for two separate families holidaying together.

    Getting to and from the centre of Kalkan couldn’t be easier – water-taxis run from Hotel Villa Mahal during the day; it’s a short ten-minute drive or taxi ride.

The Room Details

First Floor: As the property is built on a hill the main entrance is at first floor level to an entrance area with doors opening onto the upper terrace. From the terrace views are over the pool to the sea. Two superb master bedrooms each have access to the terrace that runs the width of the house. Each master suite has a dressing area, spacious en- suite bathroom with shower/WC and additionally a raised jacuzzi bath in the sleeping area which allows the splendid views over the bay. One of the suites offers a 4 poster bed.

 Ground Floor: Down to sitting room and dining area with double doors opening onto the shady covered loggia with dining terrace. Large fully fitted kitchen opening onto the terrace. Bedroom with twin beds that can be made up as double and with en suite bathroom. Guest cloakroom. Laundry cupboard. Shady courtyard.
