The 26m long gulet offers 7 cabins with private bathrooms for guests with 4 crew on board. Fine wood finishes give an old time charm in harmony with modern technology such as air-conditioning in all cabins. The on-board chef delights the senses with flavours typical of Aeolian and sicilan cuisine.
Gulet Cruise Itinerary
Saturday – Upon arrival at Catania airport, collect baggage and transfer to the marina to board the gulet. After boarding, welcome cocktail, safety briefing and departure to Sant’Antonio Bay in Milazzo, cross the protected marine area of Capo Milazzo and enjoy that first swim illuminated by the underwater lights of the gulet.
Sunday – after departing from Sant’Antonio bay early in the morning make the crossing to the fascinating island of Stromboli where guests can decide to simply visit the town and people watch or to scale the active crater (volcanic activity permitting – this is subject to approval from the local authorities on the day). There is free time to enjoy dinner ashore – enjoy the Sicilian cuisine and beautiful volcano views at the aptly named Osservatorio Restaurant.
Monday – depart after breakfast towards Panarea. During the day, the gulet will pass the tiny volcanic island of Strombolicchio and the renowned Sciara del Fuoco scree depression on Stromboli. A swim stop is scheduled close to the islands of Lisca Bianco where guests can swim in the sulphuric warm waters with amazing views of the coastline. Lunch is on board before an afternoon visit to Calo Junco bay where the ruins of a prehistoric village look down. It is considered one of the most beautiful bays in the entire Aelioan archipelago. The gulet will remain at anchor close to the island harbour with tender service available.
Tuesday – departure after breakfast towards the largest of the Aeolian islands Lipari. A stop will be made near the pumice quarries there the sea is crystal clear and the bottom is sandy,. It really does evoke a feeling of being on a Caribbean beach. Once the gulet docks at the port of Marina Corta, guests will have free time for exploration and dinner. Overnight will be spent at anchor.
Wednesday – an early departure towards Filicudi which remains one of the wildest islands in the archipelago, with an en-route swim stop at Grotta del Bue Marino where nature provides her best in the colours of the sea. After anchoring for lunch, guests can be tendered to the fishing village of Pecorini a Mare where free time is available to explore and enjoy dinner.
Thursday – another relatively early departure towards Salina. This morning’s swim stop is the beautiful setting of Pollara Bay which was chosen by Massimo Troisi for the shooting of the film “The Postman”. After lunch on board and arrival in Salina, there is free time to explore the island where different excursion experiences can be arranged.
Friday – sail towards the island of Vulcano where there will be time to swim/snorkel or even dive in the famous seabeds, or even experience an optional excursion up to the crater. Skirt the island admiring the Grotta del Cavallo (Horse Cave) and the Pool of Venus before arriving back into Milazzo for a final night on board. Disembarkation is at 0900 on Saturday for the transfer back to the airport or onward.
