Steps lead from the garden to the raised pool area, which can also be accessed by a staircase leading from the games room.  A shady, comfortable sitting area, with barbeque, overlooks the pool and has views across the hillside and valley to Montecatini.  Its proximity to the town makes Villa Bettina ideal for families with young adults as it is possible to walk into the town.  Montecatini offers an excellent choice of restaurants and extensive shopping.  There are also excellent train and bus connections to many of the major Tuscan towns.
