Description
Villa Layla is a large stone built house just steps from the sea front. The simple and charming Swedish décor style totally enhances the solid and rustic Turkish building. There can be no better showcase for the palette of Swedish blues and aquamarines than the white painted stone walls, the high vaulted ceilings made of simple pale blonde wood and the cool beige travertine floors. It’s a spacious, airey house perfect for a family or group of friends.
Selimiye is our favourite new location, for those who enjoy getting away from it all this peaceful village by the sea is perfection. The enclosed bay is surrounded by high hills giving the sea a “fjord” like quality, it is volcanic and therefore there are no sandy beaches just deep blue clear water. As with many of the best places it’s the sailing fraternity who have discovered it and this brings its own advantages in the form of a great selection of sea side restaurants. The village is described in more detail in the “About Datca & Selimiye” pages.
Outside a shaded dining area overlooks the mature garden with tall eucalyptus and almond trees and just a few steps from the garden gate is the sea, after a refreshing dip you can return to the privacy of your own garden area. Jut a few steps along the sea front is the Kaptan’s Motel with sun beds and umbrellas and an excellent restaurant.

Sitting room with study/office area opening onto the front terrace. Kitchen opening on to the front terrace. Bathroom with walk in shower/basin/wc. FIRST FLOOR:
Stairs up to open sitting room leading to wooden terrace. Spacious master bedroom with king size bed and en suite bathroom with walk in shower/basin/wc. Bedroom with double bed and further bedroom with twin beds, all bedrooms are air condiotioned.
FACILITIES:
Washing machine, hob, dishwasher, fridge, satellite TV, Hairdryer. All bedrooms with air conditioning. Portable Barbecue.
BEACHES:
Nearest beaches – there are no sandy beaches but access to the sea is directly in front of the villa. A few metres along the sea front a local motel offers sun beds and umbrellas.
SHOPS & RESTAURANTS:
There are plentiful village shops all just minutes from the property stocked with everyday items; once weekly there is a fruit and vegetable market. There are many restaurants along the sea front.
