Villa Quinta do Mar is situated in Cabanas, a relatively recent addition to the brochures of  major tour operators and a lot of maps fail to show it at all, which is a pity as we have had it for many years and it has always been popular with our more discerning clientele. The town is situated at the western end of a long sandy beach that reaches all the way to Monte Gordo in the east and almost as far as the Spanish border. It offers an area of the Algarve that has been largely ignored until about 5 years ago and as such still has much of the charm that abounds in the small Portuguese coastal villages.

The Quinta do Mar was constructed from the ruins of an ancient manor house in an area which has since been declared “protected” which means that no other buildings can be built to spoil the view around the property, protecting the privacy and exclusivity of this delightful location. Capped off with truly mesmerising ocean views, over the cystal clear waters of the Atlantic, just a few hundred metres away, one can see why this has been a popular choice for large families and friends travelling together.

The main house is extremely spacious and includes a 70 square metre lounge, with fabulous 180 degree sea views. Each of the well appointed bedrooms benefits from an en suite bathroom and all but one with those same ocean views. There are 2 separate annexes allowing for a measure of privacy for families travelling together. And dining together, enjoying meals cooked al fresco on the large terrace isn’t a problem as it is very well furnished. The living areas offer a high level of comfort and have been furnished with simple good taste. Clean, well tended and clearly loved we adore the Quinta do Mar and know you will too.
