Local distances: There are a number of restaurants and trattorias serving good wholesome tradional fare within a 3-4km radius. A small supermarket and chemist are just 1 km from the property. The pleasant medieval walled town of Rieti, with a good choice of shopping, bars and restaurants, is 40 km away and Piediluco, a pretty lakeside town, with some watersports available in the peak season, is 30 km distant. Stay in Lazio for Castelfranco 40 km, Poggio Mirteto 84 km, Magliano Sabina 84 km, Foligno 68 km and the bigger more popular lakes of Lake Bracciano 132 km, Lake Bolsena 140 km. Go to Umbria for Spoleto 52 km, Amelia 72 km, Terni 47 km, and Narni 58 km. Or try Abruzzo with Cesaproba 33 km, Montereale 40km and L’Aquila 63 km. An added attraction, and only 49 km from the house, is the Cascata delle Marmore Waterfall, reputed to be the highest in Europe and truly breathtaking.

The main villa with its whitewashed walls and cool tiled floors is the perfect retreat from the summer sun. Its bright and airy interiors with their modern soft furnishings the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day spent sightseeing or simply as a balm from the hectic pace of the outside world. Within the terraced garden there are two small guest cottages. The stepped gardens are built around two main terraces, the upper terrace contains the swimming pool, sunbathing area and gazebo; the lower terrace leading from the living room and kitchen has a vine covered pergola with large tables for al fresco family dining. Villa Adele is a true home from home in the sun with marvelous sea views, close to town and yet far enough away that one finds all the peace and quiet one could ever wish for.

Past clients have walked into San Felice for dinner. Others prefer to enjoy the benefits of an air conditioned drive. Outside of August the road is not well travelled and the sound of birdsong is your constant companion. A stay at Villa Adele will be enhanced by a visit to the Pontine Islands, a stunning archipelago of volcanic mountains with pristine beaches surrounded by turquoise blue sparkling seas. The islands may be reached by an early morning ferry departing daily from the marina in S. Felice.

Local distances: The charming medieval town of San Felice Circeo is 3.5 km away. Here there are two restaurants located in the colourful piazza and two more overlooking the sea. Sabaudia 17 km has a beautiful stretch of beach with a restaurant situated directly on the sand, a splendid and romantic setting to complement the excellent fish cuisine.
