  • The super-stylish Dionysos Estate has everything at its fingertips – a private beach club with an array of water sports, a Decléor spa with open-air hot tubs and an organic farm supplying the hotel’s three gourmet restaurants and all rooms and suites refurbished to an incredible standard. 

    Yet it is the stunning location alone that will take your breath away.

    Built on top of a jaw-dropping canyon overlooking the Bay of Kumlubük, there are panoramic sea views from virtually every perspective.

    The buildings blend naturally with their surroundings and are spread-out in village-style across the Estate, with a choice of rooms, cottage suites and (two-bedroom) private pool suites. Viewed from the sea, the hotel appears to have belonged here for centuries but in fact only celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2011.

    The Dionysos’ own organic farm, which supplies the hotel’s three restaurants, has been re-planted with Turkish seeds of origin so that only the finest fruit, vegetables and herbs are used in the hotel kitchens. Twice a week there is a farm picnic, where you can see produce being taken directly from the ground to the table, help collect chicken’s eggs, see the cows being milked and view the Dionysos cheese production. On another evening guests can dine in the magical environment of the farm lit by candles, lanterns and the glow of the wood-fire oven.

    At the heart of the Dionysos is the beautiful infinity pool which seems to extend into the sea and beyond the horizon. This enormous freshwater pool is surrounded by wooden loungers and parasols and the adjacent bar ensures that nobody ever goes thirsty.

The Room Details

The rooms (22 twin and double, four of which are inter-connected) are all similar in design. 

Rooms have a queensize bed, or 2 twins, a seating area and a fantastic picture window that ensures guests have a glorious sea view no matter which room is chosen. All rooms have a mini bar which is self-stocked from the ‘Honesty Market’.  Outside is a furnished private terrace with glorious sea views. 

Cottage Suites (16 twin and double) are detached bungalows. Entrance is into a large air-conditioned open-plan sitting room - with divan bed - and a small kitchen with washing machine, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave and iron. 

The sitting room has a DVD player. French windows open onto the furnished spacious private terrace which affords wonderful sea views. The air-conditioned bedroom, with a queensize bed (if not double) with en suite leads from the sitting room. 

Deluxe Private Pool Suites (4 two-bedroom villas)are are spaciously laid out over two floors. The air-conditioned master bedroom with queensize bed and en suite shower/WC is on the first floor. External stairs lead downstairs to the second (twin) bedroom, again with air-conditioning and an en suite shower/WC. Another external door opens into the large open-plan high-ceiling air-conditioned sitting room with a divan bed and the kitchen which are furnished as the cottages. The sitting room has satellite television/DVD player with BBC World. 

French windows lead out to the very spacious terraces and private swimming pool and decking which provides an ideal spot to relax with a glass of something chilled and admire that truly stunning view.
