Unheated 6 x 12 metre private swimming pool. Open mid May to end September weather permitting.

Torgiano is only 2 km from the property (not quite walkable) and has shops, bars and restaurants, Perugia 14 km, Todi with its beautiful Duomo 35 km and Deruta 7km, famous for majolicaware ceramics,

Montefalco 29 km, Bevagna 22 km, Spello is the village of a hundred galleries 24 km, Foligno 32 km.

 Assisi is an experience not to be missed and lies within 19 km of the property whilst the vast lake at Trasimeno, with its beaches, islands and watersports, is only 32 km away (San Felice has the best trattoria!).

NOTES

Mountain bikes available for hire. Two additional double bedrooms with shower/wc are available on the top floor and can be requested at the time of booking and paid for locally.

Situated on a hillside and surrounded by a well kept park and garden is Villa Chiara – a beautiful old stone farmhouse in Umbria that has been renovated to a high standard.

Simply but comfortably furnished it offers extremely spacious accommodation for a large family or group of friends looking for a private villa with a character all of its own: not many villas can boast a private orchard or five-a-side football pitch for the more active members of their party.

Villa Chiara excels when it comes to relaxation. There are areas of pale terracotta terracing around the house that are perfect for escaping for a moment or two of total privacy. 

The covered pergola beside the pool provides shade from the summer sun and is perfect for slow light lunches taken al fresco. This wonderful villa enjoys wonderful far reaching views of the surrounding Umbrian countryside, a patchwork of sunflowers, olive groves and woodland, with views like this who would ever want to leave?

Known for its Rubesco, a red wine with a great history, Torgiano is more than just a hilltop Umbrian town, more than just narrow streets, more than treelined parks, it offers one of the best restaurants in Umbria if not Italy and a wine museum that is gaining in popularity. 

Torgiano lies at the heart of Medival Umbria and views from here are almost Tuscan in their awe inspiring beauty.
